Why rent a water system rather then buy one?

Rent a water system and save money

The benefits of our water systems

  •  Great tasting water!

  • The hassle free way of getting pure water.

  •  Lifting heavy bottles to store and change them is eliminated.

  • The maintenance is part of your service.

  •  Cost savings for the office.

  •  The unlimited supply of pure water.

  •  Friendly technicians and staff.

Over the useable life of this technology it would cost more to own a reverse osmosis water purification system.  Advances in water systems, a retail price of $500 to $700, plus the cost of ongoing maintenance contribute to the cost of owning your own purification equipment.  When you rent a water system you pay a standard monthly fee of $15.00, $25.00, or $35.00 including filter changes.

Water systems rent for less then the cost of bottled water delivery.  At 45 cents per litre delivered bottled water is 10 times more expensive then renting a water system.
If we take the advice of the article below that would mean that as a 130 lb adult you need about 44 oz. or 1.5 L. of water per day(42L.Mo $21.65 + tax and cooler rental).  Keep in mind that stress, exercise, and heat will push these numbers up by 50 to 100 percent.
That means that 2 adults would need about 100 L. month,($51.52.) add a teenager that number increases to 160 L.($85.88)

Renting a water system is more convenient then bottled water?

  •   Instead of ordering, lifting and storing bottles you walk up to your sink and fill a glass, water bottle, kettle, iron, or sauce pan from a tap just for purified water..

  •   All water systems are tested and maintained every 6 months according to strict standards at no extra charge .

  •   You will use pure water for all of your cooking and household needs.

  •   Your purified water never runs out. (baring a city water emergency).

How much water should I drink?

The general rule of thumb for drinking water is:

Your weight divided by 2 divided by 12 =number of 8 oz glasses of water.

If you are 180 lbs that would be 7.5 cups

    5 tumblers - 12 oz
    6 highball glasses - 10 oz
    6 coffee mugs - 9 oz
7.5 teacups or regular coffee cups - 8oz

    Tap Water

I am not going to harp about tap water.  I am going to hit the high points.

    What’s in tap water?

    1.      Trihalomethanes

    2.      Chloramines

    3.      Gasoline additives

    4.      Lead

    5.      Cryptosporidium

    6.      Giardia

    7.      Chlorine

    8.      Ammonia

    9.      Neurotoxins from algae blooms

Chlorine and Ammonia are put into our tap water by the city. They form chloramines and trihalomethanes. Trihalomethane is linked to cancer, miscarriage, and low birth weight in humans. Cryptosporidium and Giardia are parasites that make you very ill. One study of water that falls within Canadian Government Standards, states that within the survey group, people using a reverse osmosis purification system were 30% less ill than their non-filtered water-drinking counterparts.

Hopefully I have addressed some of your questions and caused some new ones.

You Can’t Drink It All At Once  July 07.03

Optimal water intake is vital to performance of human beings for a variety of functions from cognitive to cardiovascular.  If you wait until you are thirsty to drink, you are already dehydrated and these functions are already compromised.  This is why regular water intake is vital to performance both in exercise and in everyday tasks

I used to tell people that the body, at rest, could absorb water at a rate of about 1 litre per hour.  This was a mistake because I would occasionally have clients drinking large volumes of water every hour being unable to absorb it and become very uncomfortable (sloshing tummy).  I should have expressed it in smaller units of time and volume or 16 ml ½ oz. Per min. This would indicate more appropriately how you could best stay well hydrated.  That is, drink small sips of cool water frequently throughout the day.  However this activity is complicated by activity and heat.

As we exercise, or heat up because of the weather, our rate of absorption decreases dramatically.  Therefore, if you begin an activity or sporting event dehydrated or get dehydrated on a hot day, it is very difficult to re-hydrate yourself until you cool off.  This is because you cannot absorb the water as fast as you are losing it to sweat.

It is therefore very important to practice frequently drinking small amounts of cool water throughout the day, especially in hot weather.

Water For Life
Water For Life is dedicated to renting equipment for filtering and purifying water of chlorine, heavy metals, lead, bacteria, cysts, parasites, THM, trihalomethane, and viruses so that you experience water that is crystal clear, refreshing and tastes clean. We have self filling water bottles for your office and we provide specialty purified water for industries such as printers, welding shops and aquariums.
Our self filling bottled water is for those of you who don't have the time to lift bottled water, store bottle water, or deal with empty bottled water bottles. Our bottled water never leaves the top of your water cooler. Instead we connect our purified or filtered water right to the bottled water and it fills up when you take a cup full.
We have researched the effects of chlorine, and chlorine by products in the Victoria water system and alone they constitute enough reason to filter and purify our drinking water, shower, and bath water.
In the process of changing Victoria City water into great tasting, crystal clear drinking water we use carbon / charcoal filters, poly spun filters, reverse osmosis membranes, and KDF media to filter various impurities from your tap water so it is pure and healthy.
Please look at our research page and breaking news page to discover for yourself what is in tap water and what can be done to protect yourself from ingesting disinfection agents in Victoria City water.
Ask about whole house filter systems. The only way to end chlorine entering your body is for you and your family is to install a whole house, point of entry filtered water system.
We rent reveres osmosis and carbon filter systems for your home, office and industry. Our rental water purification systems include full maintenance including the cost of filters for one standard rental price.
With the Water For Life under sink water purification system, tap water first flows through three pre filters to remove dirt, rust, sediment and chlorine.
If the cooler or holding tank is less than full, the water continues on to the next stage of the process.
The reverse osmosis membrane, will separate contaminants from the molecules of water. The contaminants are then washed down the drain and the purified water then moves on to your water cooler or pure water reservoir.
We also rent whole house water filters that filter the water for your whole house or business. Whole house big blue water filters create a rain water like shower for you whole family. Look for combined rates for whole house water filters and reverse osmosis water filters on our price list page. For higher ranking with Google and Yahoo use shop in Victoria BC Canada.
