Your Questions

What is the total lease payment and are there any other costs that I could incur before the lease ends?

The lease of our equipment and cost of scheduled maintenance is included in your monthly rental.  Above the stated monthly lease payment you will be charged provincial sales tax and goods and services tax.

We provide one emergency call out with every 6 months contract .  Any call outs above those provided are billed at $50.00 per call out.

If our equipment malfunctions our visit is free of charge.

This policy is in place in the event that city water becomes sediment laden for a period of time and we need to come out and change filters more often than one regular filter change and one emergency call out in a 6 month contract.

What happens if I want to change this lease or end the lease early?

1. You can change between our water purification systems at any time.  We charge our standard $40.00 installation fee to remove your present system and install your new system.

2. If you want to end your lease during a 6-month contract we require 60 days notice, a 2 month rental fee or any combination of rental fee and notice.

Example: 30 days notice and one month rental fee is equal to 60 days notice.

How am I responsible if the equipment is damaged or destroyed?

You are completely responsible for any damage or loss of the rental equipment. 

What are my obligations (such as insurance, taxes and maintenance) during the lease?

Water for life is responsible for the maintenance of our water systems. Taxes are included in you rental statement and are added to the monthly rental. Your insurance company may cover the loss or damage of a leased water system.

Can I upgrade the equipment or add equipment under this lease?

Yes, and Water For Life will give you the option to update your equipment when new technology becomes available.  You can upgrade the system at maintenance time or at the end of a 6 month contract for a $25.00 administration fee.

What are my options at the end of the lease?

At the end of our lease you may purchase your equipment, continue your lease, or end your lease.

What are the procedures I must follow if I choose to return the equipment?

You cannot return any equipment.  Water For Life will come and remove your equipment according to our end/change of lease policy.

We do this because your plumbing must be returned to its original pre-installation state.  Please call us and we will do what ever is necessary at this time to accommodate your needs.

Are there any extra costs at the end of the lease?

No.  We require 7 days notice for end of lease equipment removal.  We will make an appointment that is convenient for you.

What happens if the water purification equipment breaks down

If your water purification system breaks down we will come and replace it within 12hrs.

Do I have room under my sink for a water system?

The answer is most people don't think they have any room under there sink.  Most of our clients have had the same thoughts.

Our system nestles quietly behind all the items you rely need and takes an amazingly small amount of room.  If you don't think we will fit your space on occasion we have installed the system away from the kitchen and run a feed line into the kitchen for your use.
